wordpress blog transfer

  currently running wordpress blog with hostgator. now i want to run that blog free from hostgator. Is it possible to transfer/change the setting without losing links and data.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Thank you for the information. But is the support page which you provided the one which explains about transferring a WordPress.com site to a self-hosted site?

  I think @gunjarikaranka want to do the opposite thing.
