wordpress blogs locking up Internet Explorer

  I have been unable to view WordPress blogs for the last 13-14 hours without Internet Explorer completely locking up. I can get to the Dashboard ok, but when I view my blog, or anyone else’s, it locks up IE. I have IE6. It was working yesterday, no problems. My blog is http://earthandbeyond.wordpress.com but it’s been happening with every blog I’ve tried to view. Netscape doesn’t lock up, but the layout is messed up with that.

  Upgrade to IE7, which is the latest version. There are problems with IE6.

  It worked fine with IE6 before today.

  Firefox seems to be working ok.

  There are quite a number of problems with IE6. 1) Uneditable Text widgets 2) Forum avatar floats off the Member’s placeholder and hangs around middle of page … IE6 is still my preferred Windows and Internet Explorer. No other browser not even IE7 has this integration. So when I need to edit a widget I run Firefox.

  I see what you mean. I also saw the avatar sitting in the middle of the page. I use IE6 as my regular web browser, though I’ll probably use Firefox much more often.
