That does not sound related to this issue at all, and I don’t know of any place on WordPress.com where such a message would show. Where exactly are you seeing that?

Sorry I am so bad on WordPress! When I go to mark comments as spam, I’ve approved the comments I want to show. When I go to the comments page, it has awaiting checking for spam written next to the comments I have approved.

Where do you see this? On what page? Can you please take a screen shot for me and upload it to cloudup.com or snag.gy and then paste the link here so I can see what you are speaking of?
And if this is on your own site, can you please provide the site’s URL? Thanks.

Comments on my posts still don’t show up even though I receive email notifications for them. There should be 3 more for this post:

I see two comments on that post, and if I look at the comment manager in your WP-Admin dashboard I also see only two comments:

According to our email logs we’ve only sent out one comment notification and one comment like notification for that post. The rest of the notifications we sent out for that post was for post likes, not comments. Could it be those email notifications you’re thinking of?
Keep in mind that comment notifications always contain the actual text of the comment, so if the email does not actually contain a comment, it’s not a comment notification email.

It looks like the notifications you received were for the contact form on that page:

Contact form submissions don’t appear as comments, as the purpose of a contact form is to allow visitors to contact you privately.
