WordPress can't find my blog
-
When I click on my newly created blog WordPress says it can’t find it. Can you help please. Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress search doesn’t include blog titles, and NO search engines include new blogs. They only link to blogs they think have content people are interested in, so blog more. Blog frequentlly. Blog originally. And within a few weeks the search engines will index your blog.

See here for verifying your blog with the major search engines. http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/
Google recommends the XML sitemap as the best means of communicating site specific data and WordPress.com automatically generates an XML sitemap for your blog – you do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/#xml-sitemaps-for-search-engines

Thank you raincoaster. I have only set up my blog with a test posting. It is for educational purposes and as such is personal. I was also wanting to make it private but can’t see how to. I have a family personal blog on blogspot.com and have managed to make that private.
Thank you.

Thank you ‘thistimethisspace’. I have set my blog as private :).
I am struggling to verify. I have downloaded the html verification file. But I can’t see how to upload to my WordPress blog URL. I feel very ignorant …. :(
Any further advice gratefully received :)

If you want it private, why do you want it in search engines?
You could just send emails to people you want to read it with the link.

Thanks for your response notawoodpecker. The problem is having created my blog I can’t access it. WordPress says it can’t find it. The blog is there, but when I click on it it says it can’t find it.

Thank you so much raincoaster. That does get me straight to my blog. The blog is there – but when I click on it I receive this automated message from WordPress:
“This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.”

Thank you furzeinahaze! I had posted an entry when I created the blog but took your advice and posted again. Seems to have solved my access issue.
Thank you **ALL** for your help – very much appreciated :).
Happy New Year!
