  Hello,

  I would like to make a website that allows users to create a profile and post tasks on the website / respond to tasks created by others? Doing so will open up a private chat message.

  Is it possible to create such a website on WordPress / or its associated apps?

  Hi Matthew,

  This sort of functionality would need to be added using custom plugins, which are supported on WordPress.com sites using the Business plan or above.

  It’s also worth bearing in mind there are two types of WordPress to choose from:

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  Sites created on WordPress.com are hosted by us — rather than a third party host (which is the case when using WordPress.org software).
