wordpress changes spelling of 'wordpress'?

  this sounds silly but does wordpress auto change the spelling of its name to ‘WordPress’?

  because i have a couple of entries where i typed ‘WordPress’, and yet it appeared as ‘WordPress’… i logged out already but it’s still showing ‘WordPress’. plus other changes i made are updated when i refresh.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Matt (founder of WordPress and Automattic) is sort of sensitive on properly capitalizing wORDpRESS, so that wouldn’t surprise me actually, but I’ve not yet encountered it in the editor.

  strangely enough, when i typed an entry ‘wordpress is cute’ (no punctuation) and published, it appeared as ‘wordpress is cute’…

  It correct WordPress on the public site – what displays after publishing a post – but not in the editor.

  It also does not correct wordpress. It leaves that alone.

  Heh, and the third word in on my reply just a moment ago did not have the “p” capitalized, so obviously they are correcting. The reason for not correcting all lower case is so that it doesn’t possibly mess up URLs.

  but they didn’t correct mine in my original post if you notice. because of the ‘ ‘ perhaps?

  Seems to me also that there was a big stink over at WordPress.ORG a year and a half or so ago when an upgrade “corrected” the WordPress spelling on some sub-directories – broke a bunch of links on a pile of sites – I was running my .ORG install in a sub-directory but it just missed the auto-correct – the correction was built into the core files – a pile of real unhappy campers –
