WordPress Chrome == Broken Anchor Links

I am working on my employers website and they want to open a fancybox like window with some additional information about their products.

I don’t have the chops nor the authorization to mess with their theme or insert code into the theme. That is hurdle number one.

I thought I would be able to overcome this by using anchor links inside the page to reveal a hidden div but alas no luck. In fact even the anchor links in general don’t work when viewed in chrome. It appears that the problem is when WordPress and Chrome interact. Other browsers have no issue with the links but apparently Chrome and WordPress just can’t play nice.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can solve this problem.

tl;dr How to show html in a fancybox-like overlay

http://www.cmon.com/xs-test-page is the page I am testing all of this on right now.
