  IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN REMOVE THE WORDPRESS.COM FROM THE DOMAIN

  Correction: If you map, transfer, or register a domain, the extension doesn’t have to be .com. Many optional extensions are available, as is shown in the illustration in item 4 of the Instructions For Registering a New Domain section of the Registering a New Domain support page.
