wordpress.com blocking my public IP address
-
Traffic to wordpress.com is intermittently being blocked from my public IP address 149.152.191.2 for the past several days. I believe my public IP address is being flagged for abuse. If I force traffic out a different public IP address, the site will load. HOw can I prevent this from happening? Thanks.

It does sound like your IP might be flagged, possibly due to automated requests or unusual activity. First, check if your IP is listed on any public blocklists (like Spamhaus). If your IP isn’t blacklisted but still blocked by WordPress.com, you may need to contact their support and request removal.
To diagnose what’s triggering the block, you can log outgoing requests from your site using a plugin like Traffic Monitor (https://wordpress.org/plugins/traffic-monitor/). It will help track how often and what kind of requests your site is making, which could reveal patterns that are causing the issue. If something is sending too many requests, throttling or adjusting security settings might help.
