  Hello. I am an amateur blogger. For now, I want to start with just a free account. I have tried WordPress years ago, and it would show my domain as ‘myname.wordpress.com’
  Now when I try to create a blog site here, that option doesn’t show. What can I do to fix this?

  Hi nanaysknowbest2019,

  Once you add a little bit information about your new site, about its niche, the title, you can see an option to choose your site’s address at one of the steps. Just follow the steps.

  Hi there,

  If you choose the “Blog” option on the first step of site creation, you’ll see an option for one of our free .blog subdomains instead of a WordPress.com address. But they work exactly the same.

  If you specifically want a WordPress.com address, please select “business” or “professional” in the step asking what type of site you’re building.
