wordpress.com domain
-
I do not want to purchase a domain name, I would like to use wordpress.com as with my other blogs. How do I set this up?

Hello, @pamvandebrug,
You are saying you want to use a free address using a WordPress.com subdomain on your other blogs. Eg: yoursite.wordpress.com.
You can look at this link to change your site address.

When creating an additional free site if you choose “Blog” at step one you’ll be offered a free address ending in .blog. Choosing “Business” at step one should get you the offer of a free address ending in .wordpress.com.

When setting up a new site, I’m only seeing ‘free’ options which renew at £22/year.
Is it still possible to create a permanently free site as I did before?

Thank you. @themagicrobot
@web5705 I used the Business option which still too me to payment plans, above the options there is a small link to choose free site. -
Thanks @pamvandebrug
That works, though I notice a long number is appended to the name (for example mysite897893997.wordpress.com). I think they’re pushing to get people on the paid plans.

You could at that point continue to “fine tune” the offered address and probably get the numbers down to one or two (or even none by adding an extra word). As WordPress.com are running out of .wordpress.com subdomain addresses that is why they introduced the .blog extension to give free users more options.
