WordPress.com Domain Connection

    Hello,

    A client of mine bought a domain through Google Domains and it is current (renewed for another year in April). She originally was going to build her site on WordPress.com, but then contacted me and I installed WordPress and have it hosted through Bluehost. She got a message from WordPress.com saying that her “domain connection” was going to expire on August 16th and she needed to renew it for $13. I’m thinking she can ignore this? The site is not connected to WordPress.com in any way anymore.

    Can anyone clarify this for me?

    Hi there! Yes, that’s correct, the domain is not pointing to WordPress.com hosting right now so you don’t need the domain connection subscription anymore.
    The subscription has expired. The site owner can log in to their WordPress.com account and check the Purchase page to confirm.
