WordPress.COM domain transfer to WordPress.ORG
-
I just purchased a domain through WordPress.com, and I want to use it to build a site on WordPress.org.
I have an existing WordPress.com profile (using the same email address as I used to register the new domain). When I log into this WordPress.com profile, the domain I just purchased is not listed. Without it listed, I can’t seem to access the site, and therefore to transfer it to WordPress.org. Please help!

You can’t transfer a domain to wordpress.org as wordpress.org is only open source software. You must buy hosting at a hosting company, next you must transfer or connect your domain to your hosting.
Wait for Staff to see what happened to your domain. -
Hi there,
What is the domain? The WordPress.com account you’re using to post here has never registered any domains with us.

The domain is heartwoodholistichealth.com. I finally did find it, under another account I created (throughthetreeswellness is the username).

I can purchase hosting through wordpress.com, is that correct? And once I’ve created a basic site there, then I can utilize wordpress.org?

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org is software that you install on a hosting provider. You don’t transfer domains to WordPress.org, you transfer them to the hosting provider you’re using.
WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
