WordPress.com Footer Credit Problem
-
I’m using the StartFitter theme. In the Footer Credit section of Settings > General, I selected the option to display only the WordPress.com logo. However, the WordPress.com Footer Credit wouldn’t display properly on my site, so I deleted it. Apparently, this theme does not support the setting I chose. Now, WordPress.com has added an ugly white bar at the bottom of my pages with the WordPress Footer Credit. I’ve seen other sites with this problem. How do I add the WordPress.com logo/link to the footer of my site? There’s no option to do this in the Editor. Then, how do I get the hideous white section added by WordPress.com removed?

Hi: I’m having this same problem. Previously, the logo was in the footer and looked great, but now inexplicably has moved to a white bar below, and I can’t seem to move it back. Could I know how you fixed this? The linked support page doesn’t have anything about moving the credit. Thanks!

Figured out a solution, in case anyone finds this: I deleted any credits in the existing footer, and dropped in a new footer style with the credit, which I think reset it.
