WordPress.com free website and domain

    Hi! If you are a new blogger, what are the benefits of setting up a free website on WordPress.com?

    I understand your domain is not free but you can set up a free domain that would look something like this…www.example.wordpress.com. When you start blogging and publishing content would the free website URL hurt your rankings?

    I’m just trying to get an idea of how long the free WordPress website benefits new bloggers starting out.

    Any insight would be awesome to hear! Thanks!

    Hi there, free sites here are free for life and can be upgraded anytime. :)

    As for the free example.wordpress.com subdomain, while humans generally prefer custom domains for things like businesses and such, there’s no hard evidence that one is better or worse for rankings in general.
