WordPress.com has totally worthless support.
-
They took my money and gave me nothing in return. You can’t even send or receive email through webmail. Can’t believe they would rip off a disabled veteran. Spread the word
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ve used WordPress for years at other hosting companies without a problem. But hosting wordpress.com is a total rip-off. No support at all. Better off going to Bluehost or Siteground for hosting.
-
We can’t help you with your site as http://box5145.temp.domains/ isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform but is hosted by Bluehost.
Wordpress.com does offer email, https://wordpress.com/support/add-email/#professional-email and offers several email solutions including webmail access.
Wordpress.com does offer several support solutions depending on the plan you have, https://wordpress.com/support/help-support-options/ -
Looking at your account, you don’t have any active upgrades with WordPress.com.
I’m afraid that we can’t help directly because your site is not with WordPress.com managed hosting. Instead, Bluehost uses open-source WordPress.org software, which differs from what we offer here on WordPress.com.
I suggest reaching out to Bluehost for further support.
I hope that points you in the right direction.

I have been working the internet since 1995 starting with Smartmart.com which is hosted at Bluehost.com.
I paid $48 to WordPress.com to host another website directly on WordPress servers — NO other. I selected a template, input my site name and other pertinent details, but realized that, unlike Bluehost, I cannot set up an email account on WordPress.com without having to pay additional money to upgrade to a business account from a personal one. I’m a disable Veteran on fixed income and cannot afford a business account.
Wordpress took my money and when I complained that I wanted my money back, they gutted the website I started to set up to pretend that I had not upgraded from free to a personal paid account.
But like most lowlife thieves, they made a fatal mistake in saying that I had not upgraded for the $48 yearly account. The credit card company can verify that I paid $48 to WordPress.com money 24-hours ago.

Follow up:
The credit card that was used to pay wordpress.com $48 for an upgrade have a website on their servers, is sending me a copy of the transaction that was dated January 29, 2022 at 20:20 Eastern standard time.
So the proof of the transaction and the cleaning out of the website that I started will be proof that the people at wordpress.com are simply thieves and liars (staartmees and metabreakr) to name a couple.
The next step will be getting the truth out to the public.

Hi again,
Could you please share the site address for you WordPress.com? I can help outline your plan features.
For free email options, I suggest one of the following:

* https://wordpress.com/support/add-email/add-email-through-zoho-mail/ -
I’m now preparing the video of this chat and will post everything on YouTube and other platforms. Just so you’re aware the thieves at wordpress.com, there are veterans everywhere. You should’ve just been honest and refunded the $48 instead of trying to rip off a disabled veteran.
-
Interesting little thief, how do you know I didn’t upgrade and pay $48 if you don’t even know my website address at wordpress.com?
-
Too bad I can’t upload a picture of the receipt from the scam wordpress.com acknowledging my $48. Maybe you don’t have a record of it because one of you went into the side I started and gutted it. And put in a phony email address.
It’s OK I’ll put it up on YouTube.
-
Just chiming in because I’m also a veteran on the internet since 1998, but what does that have to do with anything? I’ve been purchasing .com’s and using free blogs here at wordpress.com since March 2014 and have never once had a single problem with any of my purchases, and if something went wrong (I can’t remember a time it ever really did), or if I needed help with something, it got addressed. I promise you, they can tell what you bought, what you have, and what you don’t on this platform. I see them address this in the forums all the time.
-
It’s simple, I paid $48 for to upgade to a Personal Website.
It has no mail account.I asked for my money back within 24 hours of them taking my $48.
When they refused the refund they went in and gutted the site and all the information I had posted there and put in a phony contact email address for the site. No, since I can’t get a refund back on a gift card I have essentially thrown away $48.
As far as you, dtpibxart, chiming in you are very right to do so. But it absolutely does nothing in regards to me getting my money back.
Now I see that one of these so-called support members has put the information back into the website in order to make it look normal. Pathetic.
Again I have my email from wordpress.com verifying that I did pay the $48.
-
And by the way veteran, I’ve been working with veterans with PTSD, for free, since 1979. And the website I was building was going to contribute to that service I offer.
-
Even veterans with PTSD (I’m not one of them) can tell something sounds fishy about what you’re saying. You paid with a gift card? LOL really. Ok maybe you did, but the plan descriptions tell you exactly what you are getting, and what isn’t included (here’s a clue – if it’s not listed, then it’s not included).
All on this page – https://wordpress.com/pricing/
… are the plan options and detailed descriptions of what each plan offers. None of the plans offer email as those are separate purchases and your site has to be hosted by wordpress.com, so that should have told you that webmail is out unless you purchase an email package.
The site you gave at the start of this topic in the forum is not hosted by wordpress.com, and wordpress.com is not bluehost. From earlier information posted it seems bluehost is the source of your problem with your money.
A staff member has asked you to post the exact url to the blog/site you have on wordpress.com in question, but you fail to do that.
The amount of $48 is correct for a Personal plan without any other options which includes a free domain for one year.
What is the url to the exact blog and domain you claim wordpress.com “cleaned out”, and that you accuse them of stealing your money on? When you post that information, they can assist you further.

the people at wordpress.com are simply thieves and liars (staartmees and metabreakr) to name a couple.
Thanks for your false accusations but unfortunately for you, I’m just a WordPress.com user helping people on this public forum. Some respect for the people who want to help you is the least you can do. As long you don’t provide the information we are asking for, there isn’t much we can do.

It’s obvious you didn’t make that purchase from your account contact40f9716cd3.
As you have a Transaction ID – https://en.support.wordpress.com/transaction-id/ – you can use it to contact the Billing Team https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ -
Since this was a paid upgrade, you can provide us with the transaction ID associated with that purchase. Then we’ll be able to help you with a refund.
Follow these instructions to retrieve the transaction ID:
https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id
and then send it to us through this form:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
Please DO NOT POST any transaction details in this public forum. Use the form I linked above.
