WordPress.com Premium Subscription Refund Amount

    Hey guys, I requested for a refund for my WordPress.com Premium (within the grace period) subscription since I do not require this service anymore. They had originally charged S$246.72 (Singapore Dollars) but they had only refunded me S$233.28 is there a reason for this? or this is usually the case, that they will cut off some amount? which seem to be contrarily to what they claim on their site saying they will refund the full amount within the grace period.
    Any clarification on this would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Hi @confuzedsourcecode,

    Looking at your billing history, you were charged (and subsequently refunded) S$240.00 for the two-year Premium plan subscription.

    If there’s a discrepancy in your statement, I suggest reaching out to your banking institution for further clarification.

    Hello there,

    Yes that’s the interesting part, that my WordPress.com billing history page shows the refunded amount as S$240.00 but in my bank account statement I see only S$233.28!
    I have contacted my Singapore DBS Bank and they confirmed that the amount shown in my banking statement is the whole amount that you have returned, and the bank hasn’t deducted anything from it.

    So it clearly seem like that from your end you have withheld S$13.44 from my S$240 refund.

    I’m more than happy to provide you the transition number and my full bank account statement for you to verify. Is there any way I could raise this to your Customer Service? as it seem like an error from your end?

    Hi there,

    You are speaking with staff as we provide support in these forums.

    I looked at your account in our system and it does appear that we did refund you the full $240 SGD. In fact, due to slight exchange rate fluctuations, on 1/10, the purchase was for $177.15 USD and then on 1/14, when the refund was processed, we released back to you $178.02 USD. So, our system demonstrated that we made sure to refund the correct $240 SGD by technically refunding a slightly higher amount to compensate for any exchange rate adjustments (exchange rates went from $1 USD to $.737557 SGD to $.743183 SGD during that time.

    I would touch base with your bank again with this information and please let us know what they say.
