WordPress.com Question

  Ok, this is kind of a stupid question. I’m trying to set up Jetpack, but it says I need a WordPress.com account, but I only have a WordPress.org account. I used WordPress to build my site and tried creating an account on WordPress.com and tried to link my site but it says I need to sign-up for the paid service? Can anyone help me out here?

  Hi there,

  You do not need the paid plan with WordPress.com if you are going the self-hosted route.

  Now that you have a WordPress.com, you can follow the instructions on our support page:

  Jetpack
