wordpress.com Redhill theme using Welsh Interface

Using Redhill theme on recordiau.home.blog using WordPress hosted free domain.
I write in the Welsh language about collecting Welsh records and music and provide a Google Translate widget on the home page to allow those who don’t speak Welsh to be able to follow it. I have set the user interface to Welsh and most works as I’d expect, but the ‘View all posts’ button in the Latest Posts Block on the home page (page name ‘Hafan’) stays stubbornly in English and it doesn’t seem possible to manually translate or rename it under the free wordpress.com. Anyone got any suggestions how to change it? A suitable translation for the button might be ‘Gweld pob un’ or ‘Gweld pob post’

  • Hi @dilwyn2, I’ll check in with our internationalization team about where this translation needs to go, and will follow up here with you soon. Thanks in advance for your patience!

  • Ah, I think I may have found it actually. Could you submit the translation here?

New translations are implemented after about 200 new translations have been approved (you can read about that here) so if you want to help further this or have any other translations your site needs, you can find more untranslated threads here. Feel free to search for strings that affect you and your readers most.

Sorry, looks *F-A-R* too complex, no idea how to use that, not even willing to try.

  • Alright, if it helps, you would double click on the one that says “View all Posts” then add your translation there. I would add it for you, but if someone had questions about the translation I really couldn’t help.

So, if you’re willing to give it a shot, we’re happy to help with any questions you might have.

If you aren’t, hopefully some other person who is fluent in Welsh will be willing to contribute.

    Cheers :)
