Hi there, I’ve tagged WordPress.com staff to help you with this issue. In the meantime though, you may wish to refer to this page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/

You will be refunded to the same payment method you used for your purchase. After processing, refunds usually take about five to ten business days to appear on your statement. For credit card refunds, it could take up to 1-2 billing cycles for the refund to show up. International refunds can take even longer to reach you. Your financial institution is going to be able to tell you when to expect the refund and how it will be listed on your statement.

You’ll likely receive a response within a few hours from a staff member: https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question

Hope this gets resolved soon. :)

    Hi amoslim,

Your account shows a fully refund was issued on 16th August and there is confirmation of this in your Billing History:

    https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing

Refunds usually take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement but international refunds (outside the US) can take a little longer. The money has been sent from our side so please contact your bank if it still hasn’t arrived — they should be able to give you more information about any processing delays on their end.

I’ll be here if you have any questions.

    Hi,

I’m just check with the local bank, from their side haven’t receive any refunds bank in during August 16th until now, from their comment need to check with sender agent bank to get know the status.

  • Hi there,

To help your bank locate the refund you can provide them the transaction ID that appears in the refund receipt. Here’s a direct link to the receipt:

Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you. I’m happy to help.

Hi I’m try to check with the bank, but our local bank say is need to depend from oversea agent bank.
Base on the receipt I check back with the company Stripe, that they reply:

    Hi again,

Thanks for sending me more information on your refund!

Based off this image, it looks like you received this refund from a merchant of ours– amos.realeastate.wordpress.com

Stripe is a payment processor for companies and merchants to use. Some companies people know well include KickStarter, Lyft, PostMates, and even DoorDash. Of course, we also cater to smaller businesses, too! We have lots more of these major companies you may be familiar with, which you can check out here at the link below:

    https://stripe.com/us/customers

This merchant works with Stripe to ensure you have the easy way to receive your payments- by not having the your info. It makes it easier and safer for everyone all around.

I’m happy to help as much as I can! If you still have questions or concerns after receiving this, feel free to shoot back another message and I will gladly respond as soon as I receive the message.

    Cheers,
    Olivia

So in this case I’m not sure I can find which is the company or bank I can refer as contact, because base on the transaction ID I only know is from Stripe.

  • Was your bank able to identify the merchant for you?

This could be one of those cases where the refund just takes longer to come through, too, because of the routing.

Based on the local bank say there are the received bank, so this part need to check back with the retail and get the sender bank, the local bank can’t get any information from the sender bank. Because normally from our country local bank send to international online transaction should be work on 5-7 working day be done, now the receive from the refund is longer than I expect, because the fully refund was issued on 16th August, now is 17th September still haven’t getting the refund or any updated information when will received the refund.

  • Good morning –

I have inquired about this with our payments team. They’ve confirmed for us that the refund was indeed sent out back in August. Do you have more than one account? Are you working with the right bank?

    Hi,
I check the receipt is right bank, because the only way I can check is know the sender bank, so I can track the money process. I check the account is based on VISA ending in (redacted) by receipt that show.

The refund was issued back to the original card you used to make a payment — your Billing History confirms which card this is (it’s best not to share card information here as these forums are a public place):

I appreciate you’ve been waiting for the refund to arrive but processing times vary between banks so I’m unable to give an exact date for when the money will credit your account. But rest assured, the refund has been sent from our side so keep an eye on your statement.
