WordPress.com to wordpress.org picture export

  I recently exported my whole blog to transfer to a new wordpress.org site. Unfortunately, while the photos did get exported, it was only their link to the wordpress.com blog. If I delete my wordpress.com blog I will delete all my photos as well. Is their a way wordpress can get me my photos?
