  i used to be able to have a free blog using xxxx.wordpress.com. is that not available anymore? i started a new blog for a fundraiser but it looks like I have to launch with my own domain name? Please advise. thank you!

  Free sites are still available if you type a word or phrase into the box rather than a complete custom domain address. You’ll see the free address below the two paid for options. You can continue to fine tune the offered address before accepting.
