Hello, i’ve found a very curious site: [redacted]

That is a PDF piracy site.

    Why should you care?
I know it’s not wordpress blog but some of the pdf i tested are hosted in your servers!

Not all their files are hosted on wordpress. But some are, i believe you should take action on this. I mean i would if it was my servers being abused. But hey i don’t know your stance on this. Maybe you approved it?

This wasn’t supposed to be public i used the contact us page.

  • Thanks for this feedback. Generally speaking, we don’t block other sites from linking to content that’s hosted here.

If the site owner feels it’s a violation of their copyright, they will want to contact the hosting company that is hosting the offending content, and file a DMCA claim there.

I’ll hide the links you included (assuming that’s why you wanted it private.) Let us know if you need more help.

I think what happens is the piracy site creates random spammy wordpress blogs just to upload pirated ebooks on them. But never uses that content, so never gets reported.

Then he uses the direct link to those ebooks for his pirate site.

It’s an abuse of your servers being used as piracy hosting.

But i don’t think wordpress cares about it, unless a copyright holder complains.

    Cheers.
