Hi. when purchasing a domain / hosting via Bluehost I was expecting to get access to WordPress.org and not WordPress.com.
can you explain the difference please.

    Hello @beautyhivepro

    That is a good question!

WordPress.com – you don’t have to download software, pay for hosting, or manage a web server all these things are done for you. You just need to pick an available plan that suite your needs then you’re good to go.

While on the other hand WordPress.org is using the open-source version of WordPress which requires you to download and install the software on a web serve by yourself.

You can learn more about the differences from here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

I hope this clarifies it for you.

    Best,
