WordPress.com webpage – password protected

Hi I have a wordpress website with one of the pages on the website password protected, I have noticed that when that page is accessed via the correct password the password is remembered by the visitor’s pc. Is there anyway to prevent this so that the password has to be used again wen a second visit is made to that page.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

You’ve probably noticed most browsers offer the option to save a password and other form items — so that’s not really a WordPress thing so much as a browser thing. If there were a way to change that behavior, we wouldn’t be able to change this on your free site without affecting millions of other sites here, unfortunately.

One thing you can do though, if you don’t want people to be able to easily re-access the page, is periodically change the password so they have to get a new one to read it again.

    I hope that helps!
