wordpress compatible? chromebook or microsoft os computers? or apple iPad Air?

Hi.. I am about to purchase a new computer.. primarily just for updating my sites with my wordpress account. I want to make sure that I select the best computer to do this with.. which is the most compatible when working with your company? I am deciding between the chromebook, a standard microsoft laptop or the apple iPad Air.

WordPress is compatible with all modern web browsers. The device really doesn’t matter, just the browser, so any new computer/device will work.

We also do our very best to support one version behind what is listed there, and of course never do anything intentional to break support for older browsers (we just can’t guarantee that they’ll support newer web technologies).

I appreciate all the replies, but I think you kind of mid-read my post… I asked which one is most compatible.. Not which ones work. I know they all work.. But I was looking for the one that works best with your programming. I was able to use an iPad to try to connect and update my site but it seems more difficult to use. Are there any others that are not so difficult to use because of the machine the browser is open in?

As long as you’re using a browser version listed at http://browsehappy.com/ you’ll be using WordPress.com with the optimal experience.
We test and build everything here in the latest version of all desktop browsers. Which type of device you’re using really doesn’t matter as long as you have one of those browsers at the version listed.
With that said, you’ll probably notice that iOS and Mobile Safari are not listed there (neither is Android). We are making vast improvements at making WordPress.com a touch-friendly site, and while I’d say we are 90 to 95% touch-compatible now, we certainly aren’t 100% compatible as we are with the browsers listed at http://browsehappy.com/
