WordPress conflict

I need answers on how to fix my account. I’ve contacted wordpress.com through phone and chat line. I’ve contacted bluehost support and wordpress.org support but it seems that everyone I contact is inadequate to give technical assistance for my wordpress.com account. How is it that I set up the account through bluehost hosting where wordpress was automatically downloaded which took me to the dashboard page to create my website. Now bluehost says contact wordpress.com. WordPress.com says to contact bluehost because the account is not wordpress hosting system and has to be connect to wordpress.org for support. When my wordpress account was opened I installed the wordpress app and to get back to creating my website I’d select the wordpress app that takes me to the wordpress login page where I entered my username and password and I was able to continue working on my site. I recall postponing any activity on my website because I was stretched for time doing other things but when I finally returned to my website and my wordpress account there was technical malfunctioning with the account. A little maneuvering through the account got my back to my website eventually but it wasn’t with what I’ve determined as the proper functionality of the wordpress software. For example when in my wordpress account if I select WP Admin from the list of options for navigating the wordpress software it goes back to a login screen where I than have to enter my username and password again and it pulls up a page that says this site can’t be assessed. However on the wordpress account page where the list of options for wordpress.com on my account page directly above this list is a short display of my website that if I select will take me to my web page. Although there’s still an error icon indicated immediately to the right of the short display representing my website on my wordpress account and there is no photo where the site icon should be and I’ve tried uploading media to drop in a photo on the software isn’t responding to the selected prompts. The process works as it should until I execute the it all than there’s a message showing the upload failed and no photo shows up representing the site icon for my website. I want to fix all of this before I’m content with publicly connecting the website for clients and viewers to access. Is there anything anyone know that might resolve this painstakingly minute debacle.

    Hi @mrgrantham79,
Sorry to hear about your issue. I understand your frustration.

First thing first, you need to understand the difference between the two flavours in which the WordPress ships.

    WordPress comes in two flavours:

    • Self Hosted Open Source WordPress.org
    • Managed WordPress.com

I recommend you go through following to understand the difference:
    https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

Please note that these forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If your site is using the open-source WordPress.org software installed on third party hosting provider you need to seek help at the following forums:

    Best :)
