    Hi!

I have just bought a new domain with WordPress hosting. I got the user name and password but not any cPanel informations. Does WordPress provide any cPanel informations like other web hosting providers.

    Looking for your best response.

    Thanks and regards,

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. If your site is hosted by WordPress.com, there’s no cPanel. What are you looking for exactly?

I believe you may be confused so please read this entry to be sure that you are posting to the correct support forum. This one is only for those who have free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
WordPress.com is a hosted blog service. You do not have to download software, pay for hosting or manage a web server. WordPress.com does not permit uploading themes or plugins. WordPress.org is free software. You can install themes and plugins, run ads, and edit the database. read the rest here > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

In case of hacking we use cPanel to fix our site. If my site hacked what is the solution when someone’s site hacked or having any other issue because cPanel dose not granted.

    Hi
If you believe your site has been hacked, immediately change your password.
if you have been vandalized contact Support on the WordPress.Com Support page.

We cannot backup our wordpress.com blogs here like you can with a selfhosted blog using C-panel
and we do not have access to wp-content files, etc.

An alternative is “exporting” your blog to your computer and saving copies uploaded media in a folder on your computer.

you will never have to tasks like cron jobs or managing files as you might with C-panel
that stuff is taken care of for us at wordpress.COM

    Hope that helps.

@visionhelix – that is what the support staff is here to handle, however all I have seen for “hacked” sites are people that had the password stolen, guessed, given to “friends” etc.

I’ve been here six and a half years and in only one instance was a “hack” anything but someone guessing someone else’s password correctly. It’s very, very unlikely you’d need it.

Also, cPanel isn’t as good as it used to be. A friend’s site got hacked and it took me literally DAYS to find the permissions. What a waste of time.
