WordPress crashes

WordPress crashes after iPhone 4s WordPress update was installed. I had rebooted the phone, no difference. I have uninstalled and reinstalled WordPress, no diifference. I have posted in a forum, no response. Very frustrated an unhappy!

I wish I could be more help. But in reality, app related issues are best served in the forums that I linked to. The app developers are active there and that is the fastest path to a solution if there is some sort of a bug.

Thank you for your reply, really appreciated, and the link which shows that I am not the only one experiencing the problem. Is there anyway I can get support from a a Happiness Engineer or are they non-existent?

I sure hope so. It appears there are quite a few hacked off people in the WordPress for iOS forum with the same problem since the update. I guess we may have to wait for a fix. I noticed your note about thread duplication – frustration kicking-in I’m afraid.

Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in order of datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected.
How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.
If we continue to post to any thread after it’s tagged for Staff that moves the timestamp forward and it takes longer to get help.

Yes, it does seem to be an issue. And I understand how frustrating that would be.
However, I assure you that the app developers read that forum daily. Reporting your issue there is the best way to get it in front of their eyes. It gives them information and the ability to ask questions and get more data if needed to help them track down the cause.

Hi. Thanks for your help. I tried the following as recommended from WP for iOS forum:
“In a web browser, visit WordPress.com, sign in, and check the Blogs I Follow feature. If you’re not following any blogs, try following one, even if its your own and then see if you’re able to launch the app.”
It worked second time round. Now my happiness is restored!
