WordPress crashing on Internet Explorer?

  Many WordPress blogs (my blog and other people’s blogs) are crashing on Internet Explorer. WordPress is the only site where this problem is occurring. I have tried to solve it but failed.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there – Could you please try upgrading to version 11 to see if that helps?

  Please also try disabling any browser add-ons or extensions you might be using.

  Thank you. I have tried various of the browsing clearance methods. This problem now seems more intermittent, but when it happens it never happens to my own main blog’s *Home* page but to any other page.

  As to upgrading to IE 11, my computer tells me that this is not possible as I already have a more recent version!

  Hi there – You might also try toggling the ‘Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages’ option here:
  https://nullimmortalis.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=grofiles-user-settings

  Sometimes that helps with browser crashing issues. Please also see if you have this problem using IE from a different computer, to see if it’s something related to your particular IE install on your computer.

  We haven’t been getting other reports of WordPress.com sites crashing in IE10 generally, so narrowing down some of these other things would help us figure out what’s up on your end.

  Following the suggested ‘toggling’ above, the problem seems to have resolved itself. At least for the time being.
