wordpress created home page I can't edit or access

  can somebody please help me figure out how to get rid or at least edit the homepage that wordpress created. I had one that I called “News & Updates”, but for some reason it started mimicking the contact page, so forgetting I had set it to be the home page, I deleted it so I could start it over…unfortunately in doing so it made wordpress create another home page which is not listed in my pages so I can’t edit it since it does not show up in my list of pages…I have absolutely no access to it at all…I want to make my newly created News & Updates page the home page…how can I do this without completely starting over?

  It looks like your website is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, not a WordPress.com site. You’ll want to ask your question over on the WordPress.org forum at:
