WordPress Dashboard – CANNOT LOG IN

  PLEASE HELP! I cannot log into my wordpress dashboard. It says my username is wrong. If that is the case, how do I find the correct username? Why would it be different than the main wordpress username? I’M PULLING OUT MY HAIR! Why is this so difficult to use?

  Which site you are having trouble logging in to? I see a Jetpack connected site listed in your account, is box2054.temp.domains/~coconve4/ the one you need help with?

  Hi yes that’s right. I’m in WordPress and then I click Themes, then customize. Then it gives me a login page that I cannot access. I must not have the right username but there doesn’t seem to be a way to change it. Can you please help? Thanks so much

  @taranotvest, thanks. That’s a link to your self hosted site’s WP-admin. It sounds like you need to log in again there.

  Can you log in at that link? Bear in mind it’s likely not the same username or password that you’re using here. It may be the same email address though, so you can try resetting your password.

  Yes I logged into my main WordPress admin page. From there I go to my sites, click the one I want to update, then under Personalize, click the theme, then customize.

  From there I am taken to a different login page. I have tried resetting the password but it does not recognize any username or email address I put in. And I only have one email address! Without the option to change or verify my username, I am completely locked out.

  Are you able to log into Bluehost, where your site is hosted? They may be able to help you with one of these options to regain access to your local installation.
