WordPress database got disconnected from domain somehow
-
Okay, I have a problem.
My personal creative website, Groundabout.nl which already had loads of things on it, was made in WordPress, as was the site for my little company Making Art Together.
Somehow, the database for groundabout.nl got disconnected (I can still see it in the admin section of my host, so I know it still exists) and between inept customer support and my own attempts to restore the connection for my groundabout.nl site, the database for Making Art Together now seems to be connected to the domain http://www.groundabout.nl.
So the site that now comes up when you surf to http://www.groundabout.nl is actually the site for the Making art Together domain.
As I mentioned before, contact with the host was less than useless and I need to figure out how to reconnect the Groundabout database to the Groundabout site. I seem to be completely unable to access the control panel for the groundabout.nl site.I can access the PHP My admin part, but since I have no idea what I’m looking for in there, I’m at a loss how to proceed there. Can anyone help me?

Hello, @groundabout! 👋🏼
I checked your site, and it looks like it is a self-hosted WordPress site, not hosted on WordPress.com (you can read about the differences here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/).
🏨 You can find more details on your hosting provider here: https://whohosts.pro/makingarttogether.com
💡 Please note — this forum is for WordPress.com sites, and we can’t provide help for self-hosted WordPress sites.
I suggest asking your question in the WordPress.org support forum:
There is an excellent community of WordPress.org users who can help you.
Additionally, you can contact your hosting provider (
Strato AG) for help with the database. 😊
