WordPress design, other host, corrupted file—help!

I have an author website a designer made for me years ago using WordPress, and I pay to host it on another service. The site went blank a week ago. The service provider says I have a corrupted WordPress file/plugin, and I need my “IT person” to fix it.

I don’t have IT — I’m a writer who just maintains the WordPress site made for me years ago.

How do I get into WordPress for coding purposes?!
    Thanks in advance,
    Nichole

This is not the site I need help with (above). This is one of three totally unrelated test blogs someone else was doing.

  • Hi there –

It sounds like our managed hosting solution from WordPress.com is actually a better fit for your project and experience level. The site mentioned does not use our managed hosting, so we aren’t able to provide help. Not because we don’t want to, just because we don’t have access to it.

When using our managed hosting here at WordPress.com you can focus on the content of your set because our team handles all of the updates, security, seo, spam, and so forth. You’ll be able to manage everything with our help.

The hosting plans are visible on https://wordpress.com/pricing/ and you can pay for those by the month or by the year. The yearly option has a nice savings and it is also refundable for 30 days.

Write back if you have any other questions about this information. For now, you need to use https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ to try and get help from the volunteer network over there for the problem that you’re facing.
