WordPress Desktop App

Hi. Whenever I open the desktop app it always does the same thing. It attempts to open that last post written. This is okay if the post has not been published, but I rarely want to amend/edit a published post. Furthermore, if the last post has been deleted (a test post for example) then an error message is produced and I get moved to the web url.

I feel that there should be some kind of a menu saying eg
    1 Start a new post
    2 Amend/edit a draft post
    3 Amend/edit a published post
    4 Open WP admin

This is both a problem and a suggestion.
    Thank you

  • Hi there,

What version number of the app do you have installed?

The expected behaviour for the app is to reopen the last page you were on before you closed the app.

Does this still happen if you specifically navigate back to the My Site page, or the Reader, before closing the app?

And are you closing the app by just clicking the x button, or do you exit it completely by quitting from the taskbar?

    Hi

I just updated to version 6.0.2. The app opens the last post which you have explained is correct. The issue I had was if I had deleted the post, then the app tried to open the deleted post, which caused an error message. This seems to have been rectified with the latest version.

The problem seems to be resolved. However, I would find it useful if the opening screen was a menu rather than the last post.

    Thanks for your help
