WordPress destroys MS Word and OpenOffice Writer formatting

  Hi, I write a lot of poetry in MS Word and OpenOffice Writer
  and when I paste these in WordPress the formatting disappears.
  For example, I want to post
  some posts
  with the original
  spacing

  like this.
  (I hope you get my drift) But, in WordPress it just aligns it to the left. As you can imagine it becomes quite frustrating trying to manually do it. And then I tried to manually do it in WordPress, and even when I published it I look on my blog and it has again left aligned it and even gotten rid of the line gaps, say, between the title and the next line.
  I’ve read a lot of tutorials, but I’m sick of reading and trying things! A simple solution would be good.

  Well, I tried to make my point on this first message with my “Example”, but I see again that it has left aligned it! I just can’t escape.

  All right. I just spent another 30 minutes of my sleeping time just trying to put in the spaces manually and it was a pointless task. Hopefully when I wake I will have the answers I seek! Someone please alleviate my frustrations. Cheers!

  Microsoft Word has its own proprietary formatting that other editors can’t understand, so a simple copy and past won’t be of much use.
