WordPress didn't say my old blog would be DELETED when I changed my user name.

  The community can’t help with this. I doubt if anyone at WordPress even reads it — no people work for the company, only computers, and they’re doing the best they can. I changed my user name. You gave a lot of confusing choices. Just so you know, not one choice said my old blog would be DELETED. It said the ADDRESS would be discarded. How fricken stupid. You should be more clear in your instructions. No way would I ever consider going pro with WordPress because of that.

  Fricken lovely. After repeatedly trying different ways to go view my old blog only to be redirected to a page saying it was deleted, I found a way to view it. Stupid stupid stupid.

  WordPress.COM should change so there is NO deleting of the old URL – make the blog owner go back a second time if they want to delete the old blog name

  I completely agree. it should automatically make the old blog private.
