Hi there,
There are two different versions of WordPress.
These forums only provide support for the WordPress.com version; your site appears to use the self-hosted version from WordPress.org.
If you need support for a self-hosted site, please try contacting your host, or posting your question in the WordPress.org support forums.
To learn about the differences between the two versions of WordPress (.com vs.org), please see this guide.
Good luck!

Hi @garysixtyeight: would appreciate if you could tag such threads with “not a wpcom site.” Thanks in advance for the help. :)
-
I usually do – https://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/not-a-wpcom-site
Sorry I forgot to do it for this one.
-
Hi, Appreciated! But I wouldn’t count on that list. :) I’ve been going through the recent wordpress.org tagged threads and adding “not a wpcom site” when the reply is like this one (no relevant URL provided) or is definitely linking to an ORG site and is in the wrong place. Again and always, thanks for your help.

When I look at the tags in a thread, does the presence of an [x] beside a specific tag mean that it’s one I’ve added?
-
Indeed. If you can remove the tag by clicking the X next to it, that means you added it. :)
-
Or more correctly, if you SEE the X next to the tag, you added it. (I may need another coffee.)
