As @staartmees mentioned, your site is hosted by WordPress.com, or at least the site that your domain
gatewayartscenter.netis currently pointing to:gatewayartscenternet.wordpress.com. If you have a site hosted elsewhere and you want to point the domain to that site, you’ll need to log int your Go Daddy account and update the nameservers.https://www.godaddy.com/help/change-nameservers-for-my-domains-664

Wordpress did not send me a notice that I had to renew my website but they did take the opportunity to force me to pay for a new account just to access my site after a cancelled upgrade. Congrats. Thank you all so much for your support.

We sent several email warnings both before and shortly after it expired to the email address on your account.
We did not force you to renew your plan. Since auto-renew was disabled, you certainly had the option to let it expire.
