WordPress does not recognize my existing, current blog

  • Unknown's avatar

This is my blog: https://annieperriment.wordpress.com/. I can log in and out of my account, no problem, but WordPress keeps telling me I haven’t created a site yet.

If I got to the blog and click Site Admin, I get this message:

User mavigirl Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested

You are logged in as ‘mavigirl’ and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for ‘Annie Perriment’. If you are not ‘mavigirl’, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are ‘mavigirl’ and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.

If I click the link for the site admin to invite me, all it does is go here:

https://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/ No help to me since I can’t administer the site. I can’t invite myself to the site. I am the site admin.

I can’t get to the dashboard to delete my site. It seems like the only way I can delete my site is to pay $100 to upgrade to premium and then I could talk to someone at WordPress or at least send them an email. So, I must pay $100 to delete a site that I can’t use, that WordPress says doesn’t exist, but says it does exist if I try to create a new blog with the supposedly nonexistent URL.

But when I try to create a new site and put in annieperriment – it says ‘already in use’ – yes, it is in use by me. Because I can’t administer it, I want to delete it. But I can’t. I could create a new site but I can never get to the site I have to add a new post or do anything else with it.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi Annie,

The blog https://annieperriment.wordpress.com/ is owned by a different WordPress.com account, so you’ll need to log in to that account to manage the site.

If you don’t know which account that is, or you have trouble logging in to that account, please follow the steps in our Account Recovery guide for help with that. You can fill out the recovery form mentioned in that guide, and our recovery team will reply via email to privately discuss your options for regaining access to that site.
