WordPress doesn’t accept ul id

  I define a ID in CSS and i want put this style in a UL menu (ul > li)

  I put this in sidebar:

  <ul id=”menu”>

• blablabla

And after i save the id=”menu” as erase from code.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
