WordPress doesn’t share my description when posting to Facebook and Twitter

Hi there,
I type in a description when I publish my post with the expectation that it will show up on Facebook and Twitter. The post gets shared, but not my description with the hashtags. It just basically posts the title, feature image and some of the first paragraph. Am I doing it incorrectly?

What is the title of the latest post where you expected the description you typed to appear on Facebook and Twitter?
If your Twitter is public, could you pass us a link to the corresponding tweet? If you would rather not share a link, grab a screenshot of that tweet using this tool and share it here in your reply. :)
Has it worked prior to this, or has this been working well up until this issue?

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, it is for healthtidbits.wordpress.com.
I went in after and manually fixed all the Facebook posts. I also deleted last week’s post and rewrote it manually.

I obviously couldn’t change it. This one is titled Should You Tell People About Your Goals and Ambitions.
It seems it never worked since using it. Something I only discovered recently. I just always trusted that it worked. I’m not big on social media, hence the delayed discovery.

Ok that’s very odd.
Are you able to disconnect Twitter publicize and reconnect it, as per these instructions: https://wordpress.com/support/publicize/#twitter please?
To really get an accurately test if this is working with your site after reconnection, you would need to publish a new post – would this be possible?

I posted the new post and it did it again. I deleted the tweet and did it manually and am now going to do the same for my Facebook.
I purchased a domain, so it’s now https://cheannelombard.com/. I thought it might help (have been planning to buy one for a while, took advantage of the latest special :-) ) but nope.
