WordPress domain expired, renewal.
-
Hello, I was advised via email that my own domain mapping to my website was expiring, so I clicked the link in the email and paid the 13 USD or so to buy one more year of subscription. So I paid for it. But now it is forcing buying the premium thing to add my custom domain.
And to make matter worse, it seems to be almost impossible to actually reach the support staff directly.
Anyway, how can I add again my own custom domain to my wordpress.com blog? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi megaf,
so I clicked the link in the email and paid the 13 USD or so to buy one more year of subscription.
Your payment came through but it looks like there was a technical problem and the upgrade was removed. I’ve added domain mapping back to your site for you:
https://wordpress.com/me/purchases
But now it is forcing buying the premium thing to add my custom domain.
Domain mapping use to be available as a standalone upgrade but that was changed last year — it’s now only a feature of paid plans for new purchases. However, you can continue to renew your existing upgrade.
And to make matter worse, it seems to be almost impossible to actually reach the support staff directly.
These forums are where we provide support for sites using the Free plan. If you have a question and need help from a member of staff, just tag your thread with ‘modlook’.
Come back to me if you need any further help!
