wordpress domain name change
-
i made the stupid stupid mistake of trying to start a new blog and misspelling a word in the wordpress domain name. is there any way to fix it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You need to register the exact URL that you want. You can register as many blogs as you want at WordPress.com. Just get the one you want and delete or ignore the wrong one.

hello there. Here is the link to the instructions so you can do as raincoaster says and register a new blog under the URL you want, assuming it’s available. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
When a blog is deleted the URL cannot be recycled. It’s gone forever. I want to suggest that rather than deleting the first blog you keep it as a test blog and simply change the visibility to “private” to keep out search engines. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/ -
I have the very same problem, but now I just don’t want to waste my work.
Is it possible to redirect? Let’s say I register new domain X and make it as a redirection to my present domain. -

Yes if you wish to continue to have the blog free hosted by wordpress.com. You can purchase domain mapping and then it does not matter what the root blog URL is. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/Or if you wish to hire a web host and get a free wordpress.org blog for self hosting on your own domain you can redirect (same difference really – 302 temporary redirect). See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/redirecting-your-blog/
