WordPress Domain taken by Inactive User

    Hey, I was wondering if it would be possible for me to get a used domain. I’m branding myself as ChrispyDesign (see https://twitter.com/ChrispyDesign/ and https://chrispydesign.tumblr.com/) but unfortunately that WordPress domain has already been taken by another user.

    However, the site has been completely inactive since 2008, and nothing has been posted aside from the very first ‘Hello World’ blog post. Because this site isn’t being used by anyone, I was wondering if it would be ok for me to be able to use that domain for my online portfolio?

    Thanks for getting in touch. We aren’t able to grant you access to that address since someone else owns it. Regardless of how active the site has been.

    You can try to contact the owner through a contact form or any social media links on their site and ask if they’d be willing to transfer the ownership over to you.
