wordpress domain to use with godaddy hosting

    I have a domain ” weblogic-tips.com ” registered with wordpress and and a wordpress hosting on godaddy.
    I am trying to use the domain ” weblogic-tips.com ” for the hosting on godaddy by Editing DNS entry and adding another A – name with the IP address given by go daddy .

    and I am setting the nameservers to default wordpress name servers, but the changes are not getting reflected . Even after 4 hrs of change the old settings are reflected .

    Hi there,

    The issue which you were having is that your nameservers were pointing towards GoDaddy already (though not the correct nameservers, they were placeholder nameservers), which meant that any changes which you made in our DNS control panel were not being reflected on the web.

    I went ahead and changed your nameservers back to ours. With that change, our DNS will become live, so the IP address which you got from GoDaddy will now start functioning and your site with them should start working here very soon.

    Please note however that this is really a temporary fix. You should consider transferring your domain to GoDaddy or another registrar soon so that you can use GoDaddy’s proper nameservers. Using the IP address is not a good way of pointing domains!

    I have already started Domain Transfer but the problem is that I am not receiving any authorization code from wordpress, it seems there is some issues going on at the moment with that.

    I have checked the nameserves settings for “weblogic-tips.com ” but I can still see that the nameservers are that of godaddy and not of wordpress.
    How much time its going to take to reflect the changes made by you ?

    I was hoping it wasn’t the case, but it looks like you are running in to some issues which we are having with our Domain Registrar partners, Wild West Domains (who are a subsidiary of GoDaddy). We have a notice up on our support forums right here:
