WordPress duplicate account for staging server

  Hi,
  Right now we are planning on hiring an external website developer to look at our website and help fix it. We built our website on our own server using WordPress CMS. Due to security issues, our IT made a staging server for them to access the site. However, the URL paths defined are absolute and not relative.

  How do we do fix the URL paths? Is there a way to duplicate account without harming the main site?
