WordPress Editor Not Working Properly
-
When I edit existing posts, the editor seems fine. When I start a new post, I can’t access the title, the permalink URL isn’t correct (there is no box, but rather there is an immediate link to view the post, which results in an error when accessing). How do I correct this issue?

Hi there!
What’s the address of the site you’re working on?
Please note that these forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If your site is using the open-source WordPress.org software, we won’t be able to help you out and you’ll want to seek help at these forums:

Hi,
I’m a bit confused re. your question. I suppose that this should be an easy answer, but my site (https://falkentec.com) uses the wordpress.com address when I logon to the dashboard. My logon doesn’t work on the wordpress.org site. But I use Bluehost to host my site, so I’m not sure which organization is applicable. Suggestions?
PS–I was directed to use this forum by WordPress support. Thanks.

Hi there,
It seems that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com.
This is a public forum that provides support only for the sites hosted on WordPress.com.
For help with your site you can ask over at the WordPress.org forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
You can refer to WordPress.org support documents here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the open-source WordPress.org software you can read this article:

Hey RJ,
I believe the source of your confusion likely comes from the use of Jetpack which is connected to WordPress.com. However, due to your site being hosted by BlueHost we are not able to fully assist you as the staff here are unable to see what is going on within the backend of your WordPress site. That is the reason why my friends here are directing you to the WordPress.org Support Forums.
Hope this helps clarify things. :)
