WordPress email confirmation link doesn't work when I click on it

I changed the email address for my WordPress account. WordPress sent me a confirmation email with a link to complete the change. However, when I click on the link, the WordPress login page opens. Please let me know what I’m doing wrong so I can successfully change my email address on this account. Thank you for your help.

I see in your user records where you requested the email change multiple times in the past few hours.
Each time you request the change, any previous validation URLs are nullified. It sounds like the validation URL you clicked is one of the previous ones.
Please make sure you’re clicking (or copy+pasting into your browser) the most recent email change validation URL. If this doesn’t make the appropriate email change, let me know and we can further steps, but we’ll need to do so over email instead of in this forum to protect your account security.

Hi, Alex. I deleted all previous emails so I could start fresh; then resubmitted the email change request. The same thing happened: when I clicked on the link, the WordPress login page opened. BUT here’s the good news: you mentioned copy+paste in your message, so I tried that. I pasted the URL validation link in Google and got the login page again. But when I tried it in MSN, I connected right away and my email change is now complete! Thank you for your help and ideas. I appreciate it.

Glad the copy+paste worked!
In the future, you might have an easier time pasting URLs directly into your browser’s address bar, instead of into a search engine like Google or MSN:

But so long as you make it in, that’s the important thing. :)
