  Send newsletters (emails) with wordpress and SMTP Mass mailing and template import.

  Can’t do at all – people can subscribe (opt in, they need to confirm they want to get stuff from your blog) – no import email list

  It’s an anti-spam thing – if people could import a list then the blogs would be used by some as a spam sender – several things WordPress.com does are specific to reduce the chance for someone to use a blog for not so good purposes

  That’s true. There’s just a plugin for it for wordpress.org so I was hoping there was some way to do it in wordpress.com. But I understand the reasoning for sure.
